Can't wait to see Tommy's reaction when he finds out who Janet's new flame is. Yikes!

Oh, and if you are looking for new summer shows to track, how about "Hustle" on AMC? It's a silly bit of fluff but it's great fun. Give it a whirl.

ThanksAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17517257.post-1149092076796885142006-05-31T12:14:00.000-04:002006-05-31T12:14:00.000-04:00I usually go with Lieu, FWIW.As for Janet & Johnny...I usually go with Lieu, FWIW.

As for Janet & Johnny, called that one last season (oh, I am so smart, ha ha). Now I wonder what will make him more ballistic: finding out that Garrity is with his sister, or that Janet is with his brother? And how will cousin Jimmy "react" once Tommy knows?

As for crushing the little girl's chest--he definitely would have cracked and/or broken a few ribs, which I think happened because she spat up blood when she came to, didn't she?

All in all, a great opener to what I hope will be a great season. Also, going back to an earlier post of yours about which shows you should add to your blog for the summer, how about, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"? That show is hysterical and it looks like they are desperate enough to keep it on since they added Danny DeVito to the cast ;-DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17517257.post-1149088768197248992006-05-31T11:19:00.000-04:002006-05-31T11:19:00.000-04:00I'm just wondering what Tommy's main hallucination...I'm just wondering what Tommy's main hallucination fix will be this season(looks like it's the hit and run driver who got wacked but you never know with this show) and did anyone else notice that brief glimspe of Tommy's son joining him at the breakfast table? Nicely done there.

Janet's been too hard on him-yes,Tommy's been unreliable in the past but what happened to his son could've turned out the same way if she had been there, too. That being said,it would be nice to see a female character in a better light. The only one(besides Tommy's youngest daughter)I can think of is Rose who is clearly in love with Lou.lady thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16287907577241697874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17517257.post-1149078739875366822006-05-31T08:32:00.000-04:002006-05-31T08:32:00.000-04:00thanks for recapping the show. I'm a big fan of Rescue Me and i recently had to downgrade my cable so i don't have F/X anymore. argh! so for now i have to live vicariously off of bloggers like you who watch the show every week. :PAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17517257.post-1149077996487168152006-05-31T08:19:00.000-04:002006-05-31T08:19:00.000-04:00Eric, I just had the same converation with my husb...Eric, I just had the same converation with my husband last night. As a FF, he adores the show, and I really do too but emotionally - man, am I a wreck when the episode is over. It is grueling.
As the wife of a FF, I am always amazed by the FF subtleties that I don't think non-FF people pick up on. The smoking last night is a great example - nearly ever FF I know smokes. Tommy and his cell phone - FF are rarely at home due to the crazy hours, they live and die by their cell phones. Denis Leary does a great job of really getting the FF mentality.
On the women - FF are notorious for having rocky relationships with women. They tend to drink, screw around - it's not just a stereotype, it has a lot of truth in it. I think the women are portrayed as the men see them, not necessarily as the women actually are.
That said, they are making me hate his wife.
DawnAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17517257.post-1149059866103588072006-05-31T03:17:00.000-04:002006-05-31T03:17:00.000-04:00Hello I really enjoy reading your blog. There was always a chance that girl was dead when he first picked her up and he just thought he'd gotten a response out of her. Good to see him pull one through though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17517257.post-1149047772145373062006-05-30T23:56:00.000-04:002006-05-30T23:56:00.000-04:00Rescue me is a show I admire, but find too brutal ...Rescue me is a show I admire, but find too brutal to watch.
