I'll just mention that they almost lost me when they set up that Dick Cheney will be the head of the giant conspiracy, but then Neal McDonough showed up on my TV screen at the end and (almost) all was forgiven.
I think it is natural NOT to think of "Idol" like the Super Bowl, et cetera. People are accustomed to set times for Idol, and we see them cut off singers in the middle of their farewell songs (if they even get to sing them because of it). The producers are smart enough to be able to warn DVR companies about the issue so as to have the devices record 2 hours and 15 minutes. I can't imagine that they actually thought they were going to get it in at two hours, and there are some benefits for them to go over slightly.
The good thing about "Traveler" is that it will conclude in 8 episodes...at least, that is what I read in an online interview with that Bomer guy. He said most of the major questions are answered. The last episode of the 8 does bring up some new ones, if it does get 'renewed' as a summer series.
So, I can stand 8 episodes of an okay tv show...plus I really like William Sadler & Steven Culp.
In a summer of reality shows, it is nice to have something else to watch.
OK, DVR people-quit whining! The DVR is the greatest thing ever. If you haven't figured out which shows you need to pad, or to pad ALL shows that are really important to you, I say at least you don't have to watch the flashing clock on your VCR anymore, since you obviously couldn't have figured that out either. Sorry, that was mean and a run-on sentence. I know if I had missed any of the Lost finale, I'd have been scrawling much worse diatribes to ABC. Alan, are you still checking the "What do you want" thread?
Alan,
ReplyDeleteAre you going to talk about "Traveler" on your blog? I'm a fan of the first two episodes.
Nope. As I said in the What Do You Want? thread, I found the two leads so blank and uninteresting that I didn't bother with the second episode.
ReplyDeleteI know this is for the what do you want thread, but what about My Boys?

I keep track of every thread, Homer. (And, in fact, was the last poster on that thread in particular.) Why?
