Welcome to *^&*@ing 'Damages,' Tim Olyphant!

Still more "Damages" news: Timothy Olyphant, best known as Seth Bullock from "Deadwood," is joining the cast for season two. Quoth the press release:
Olyphant’s character will become tangled in the life of Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne) as she deals with both her recent personal loss and the escalating conflict with her boss Patty Hewes (Glenn Close) when the firm takes a new client (William Hurt).
Season two's still slated to debut in early '09.

  1. Dammit. I gave up on this show after two episodes last year, and now I'll have to catch up so I can watch Timothy Olyphant? Ah well. You sacrifice for those you love. That's my only excuse for watching "Dreamcatcher"

  2. Dammit from me too. I was hoping you were going to run a story about how they were going to make a miniseries or movie closing out the "Deadwood" series.

  3. Hate to say it, Michael, but I suspect you're going to be waiting a long time for those Deadwood movies.

And when I say "a long time," I mean "forever."

Word. Well, at least there'll be plenty of time for us to do it.

Well, it's not like I have anything better to do until the Apocalypse.

  5. With Deadwood rerunning on HBO-Z, I was JUST THINKING, I wonder what Olyphant is doing these days--and there was your post! Very eerie.

Good to know about Damages, but the truth is, I want Bullock . . .

I was sorta interested in seeing what an alien assweasal looked like. Slimy!

  7. I haven't watched either series (I do plan to catch up "Damages" this summer), but I have to say that Olyphant is building up an interesting resume.

On a side note, he was doing the sports report on Indie 103.1 in LA today (he does it every morning!) and he joked about asking Glenn Close to spot him a hundred on the second day of film. He said what SAG really needs to negotiate for is per diem so that he'll have cash.

  8. Olyphant used to be terrible as the sports reporter (he couldn't even "act" like one), but he's gotten a lot better and I enjoy catching his reports when I can.
