And here I thought I was the only one watching. Again.
ReplyDeleteWhile admittedly I tend to stay more interested when there's cuteboys in uniform, Flashpoint is consistently an entertaining hour of television. (Though, I hadn't a clue that Hugh Dillon, whom I love, was a big rocker. Makes me love him more.)
I, too, was skeptical at first. But, between Flashpoint and Blood Ties, I've been pleased with what our friends up there have given us. (Considering that the last show I watched from there was Edgemont.)
For what it's worth, I really liked the pilot but haven't watched it since.
ReplyDeleteJoy, go to Youtube and search for Headstones. That was Dillon's band.
And after looking up The Headstones and the Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir, do yourself a favour and rent the movie "Hard Core Logo": a Canadian mockunmentary of a hardcore punk band on a second chance road trip. Dillon is terrific as lead singer Joe Dick. I think that was his big breakout acting gig.

Enjoy the Dillon - nice that we're able to share one of Canada's best with you. He's got fantastic stage presence whenever he plays.

ReplyDeleteI can't say that I've watched this show, but maybe that's because I see Dillon's bald pate on a billboard every morning on my way to work and he kinda scares me.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Dillon in his other series, Durham County? That's pretty good, and is coming back for a second season. It's just six eps per season.
