My Boys, In Plain Sight, Criminal Intent set return dates

A few basic cable shows of note just got season premiere dates today. "My Boys" will be back on TBS on March 31 in a new Tuesday at 10:30 timeslot. USA, meanwhile, will premiere "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and "In Plain Sight" back-to-back starting Sunday, April 19.

"Criminal Intent" was originally supposed to return back in early November, and there had been some reports that the long delay was due to problems with the episodes featuring new co-lead Jeff Goldblum. I've had the next new Vincent D'Onofrio episode on my desk for a long time now, and have been waiting to get a look at Goldblum's character. Looks like I only have a few months left to wait.

  1. Does this mean My Boys will only be a half hour as opposed to the previous seasons of two half-hour show blocks?

  2. It aired after The Bill Engvall Show for both of its last two runs.

  3. My annoyance over the drop in quality of "My Boys" between S1 and S2 has totally disappeared. I'm ready for it to be back. My life is a little less fun without Andy and Kenny in it, even late S2 irritating Andy.

  4. Amysusanne,

I totally agree. The first season and 1/2 or so was clearly the best. But even so, this is a gang I really enjoy spending time with. Just watching them tease each other at PJ's or Crowley's makes me grin.

I'm disappointed that TBS.com only has 4 epsiodes available to watch (but at least "Douchbag in the City" is one of them). During the writers strike they had all the eps available.

  5. Alan,

Has TBS sent you any advanced episodes of My Boys? While not great, Season 2 was an upgrade over Season 1 so if Seasons 3 makes a similar jump then it should be pretty good.

  6. @RichC: I guess if you're going to only upload a couple, making one of them "Douchebag in the City" makes it almost acceptable. Douchebag intervention is one of my favorite things pretty much *ever*, from start to finish and all the clogs and Piven mocking in between.

  8. I'm thrilled to see there are other fans of this show. I really love it. And PJ is the cutest thing ever.

  10. you should've also put up Kathryn Erbe's photo and go for a 3x blonde lookalike montage.

  11. the lead-in i imagine is a rerun of The Office. (that's what's currently running in the tuesday night timeslot on tbs)

i wish tbs would at least rerun season 2 or at least the ones from the summer--i ended up missing some of 'em...after working so hard to catch up on 'em before they returned too.

  12. In Plain Sight.

Hopefully the show will focus more on the core values of fighting crime & witness protection rather than white trash family issues & the love triangle boilerplate scenes (yawn).
