Okay, I now have some details of the "Chuck" panel I'll be moderating at Comic-Con. It's definitely Saturday (July 25), probably in the morning, with Josh Schwartz, Chris Fedak, and virtually the whole cast: Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin, Joshua Gomez, Ryan McPartlin, Sarah Lancaster, Mark Christopher Lawrence, Vik Sahay and Scott Krinsky.
I'm still feeling my way around all the Comic-Con stuff, but word on other panels keeps coming in elsewhere, including Mo Ryan (who'll be moderating a "Supernatural" panel) with the news that "Burn Notice" will be there, at the very least with Bruce Campbell and Matt Nix, which of course, prompts me to play my Michael Westen narration game and imagine what he'd have to say about Comic-Con: "When you're at Comic-Con, the natural impulse is to get up at the crack of dawn and be on line for the 'Lost' panel, but what you really want to do is to make friends with the ushers..."
between the Micael Westen narration and the tweet on the difficulties of reviewing "Hung", you're at the top of your game today.
ReplyDeleteI suggest you set up the panel so that half the time is question and answer and the other half is a JEFFSTER! concert.
ReplyDeleteProbably in the morning? At least one site already is reporting the panel is at 10AM in Ballroom 20.
ReplyDeleteCompletely off-topic, but not off-theme: Alan, I know that you, like I, enjoyed the new Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. New episodes start airing this evening. So if you are up at odd hours and have Disney in your hotel room, maybe it'll help you pass the time.

Weird that you just got this detail now, eonline already said a week ago that Chuck panel will be on at 10 am on a Sat.

I look forward to you moderating, after hearing all the good things about the panel in NY.
ReplyDeleteAlso, ushers schmushers. Who really want to befriend is the person who's going to sleep in front of the convention doors and be the first person in line for Lost.
I don't know if you will have time, but if you do, could you please give us the scoop on the Doctor Who panel on Sunday? Both Russell T Davies and David Tennant are supposed to be there and so it should be interesting.
ReplyDeleteNone of the times have been finalized yet. I'm told by people with a lot more Con experience than me that times/locations can and do change a lot in the weeks and days leading up to it.
ReplyDeleteAs a moderator of Chuck I'm sure you can sneak in at other panels like Lost without lining up. Us normal people on the other hand would have to use whatever special skills we have to get inside the panels. lol. So if Chuck will be on at 10am, what time would people start lining up?
ReplyDeleteI think it is so fantastic you are moderating this panel! You know, there is this rumor going around the internet - no, no, not the one about how it was Ausiello who saved the show (we all know it was you, Alan) - but one reported by Nick C. from TV by the Numbers that not only Sarah, but also Chuck and Casey will be working at the Subway. Having them replace the OO with Subway is fine, having Chuck or Casey work there, not so much. So...
ReplyDeleteCould you tell Josh and Chris that is totally LAME! Chuck is a computer geek. He really needs to retain his nerdness. I could see Morgan working there before Chuck or Casey.
Please try and get confirmation on this rumor either way. As much as I am very grateful for Subways sponsorship, for them to have any kind of creative input in the actual storylines has me a little concerned. Subway should be wallpaper, you know, just there. Like Liz Lemon working at NBC, to quote Mr. Schwartz.
Thanks Alan!
How awesome would John Casey's version of Michael Westen narration be?
ReplyDeleteVord verification: oxedifer, which sounds like some kind of spy gadget
Why am i skipping this year :(.
ReplyDeleteZac was on Bonnie Hunt this morning and he seems just amazingly nice. (Choosing Scott to play his dad, seems so appropriate)
ReplyDeleteKind of a riot that Mo's article mentioned Heroes inability to decide whether to have a panel or not. I can only imagine how nervous Kring must be at the idea of having to face a few thousand irate fans. Probably they were right not to schedule one, as it will likely be an ugly affair, but then caving and deciding to have one after all just shows how little integrity Kring has. Guy doesn't know up from down, which is likely why the show went from pretty good to totally awful so quickly.
ReplyDeleteHope somebody post the whole thing in Youtube with the video and voices clearer than the past comic-con events.
ReplyDeleteHi Alan, hope your holiday weekend was fun. I really need a Chuck fix from your panel at Comic-con.
ReplyDeleteHave only found one youtube video thus far.
