Even during family time, there is occasional down time, and while I sat around waiting for a delivery, Fienberg and I recorded a fast-paced, three-item
Firewall & Iceberg podcast episode. Relevant links and whatnot are
available at NJ.com. No listener mail this week, but the "Justified" segment is largely inspired by the comments in recent episode discussion here.
I'm so glad that you were able to do a podcast and I truly love it.
ReplyDeleteThis is an EXTREMELY nitpicking thing that is of no consequence but why don't you include the logo in the ID3 tags of the podcast? Is it a server/cost issue? Tech issue?
A few other podcasts I listen to also don't include the logo and I'm always curious if it's just a detail they don't feel like filling in. But for one geek, it's a detail very much appreciated.
If you're going to discuss a Fisher Stevens movie for a full podcast, my vote is for "My Science Project." I'd totally listen to that!
ReplyDeleteIf you have a PC its easy to add coverart to mp3 with MP3TagTools: http://massid3lib.sourceforge.net/
ReplyDeleteYou can also change album name, artist etc.
Just make sure you read the manual so you don't end up changing some tags you don't want to change ;)
An abbreviated podcast is better than no podcast!
ReplyDeleteI actually rather appreciated the truncated rundown; a great deal of that may have to do with the fact that I don't watch American Idol. I felt as though you guys digressed a little bit less this go-round since you were trying to hew to a slightly tighter schedule. Food for thought!
I prefer rabbits over monkeys.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this bonus podcast!
Thanks for that link too. I am always looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteI hope the delivery turned up fine Alan - now go! live! enjoy! :D
ReplyDeletewv - nonicals - the contents of a eunuch's scrotum.
In the past, in SAT terms:
ReplyDeleteTV:Film::Trade Paperbacks:Hardcover Novels
Today, it's more like:
TV:Film::Great Novels:Comic Books
So when we connect to a new series, we want that same oomph of a novel - the sort you'd want to buy, keep on a shelf and revisit once in a while. A non-serialized procedural is more like a trade paperback of old, which you donate or lend away once you're done with it.
I really can't believe that Fisher Stevens was the whacky foreigner in Short Circuit. Consider my mind blown.
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't believe he dated Michelle Pfeiffer for quite a length of time. He's an anomaly like Desmond - except he's real *LOST title theme*.
