Sepinwall on TV: 'Taking Chance' review

Today's column features my review of the new HBO movie "Taking Chance" -- starring Kevin Bacon as the military escort for the body of a Marine killed in Iraq -- which I'm not ashamed to admit made me mist up early and often.

There was an extremely moving article in The New Yorker about the military's Mortuary Affairs, which is the unit that processes and brings home servicemen who have died. It's not a well-known agency, but its members regard their work as a sacred trust. I'm assuming that's where Strobl was working. It's nice to see that story get told more widely.

So, is this this year's HBO movie that takes every single Emmy at the end of the season, or do they have something else in the can for May?

Kevin Bacon was on Leno the other night, and Jay also said the movie teared him up. I am looking forward to seeing it.

Karen, Thanks for that link. After reading that article, I don't know how I can miss this HBO Special.
