Funny Sopranos link

I think the 15 Minutes of Fame Tour has finally come to a halt, but I thought some of you might get a kick out of Emmy-winning blogger Ken Levine's take on what "The Sopranos" finale would have been like if it was a network show.

When I get done with the Apatow story, I'll try to wrap up my take on the first few ABC pilots I watched.

Here's a funny link to the "original ending".

Or, if you'd like something smaller:

The parallel parking thing is interesting. One of the things that William Goldman mentions in his books about screenwriting is that no one in film ever has trouble finding a parking space because it would completely zap the flow of a scene. Watching Meadow struggle over parallel parking was an effective tension builder in that last scene. I mean, for those viewers who actually expected something to happen.

This one isn't so funny, but it's brilliant, IMHO:

I rewatched the final scene and it's not just Meadow's travails with parallel parking that build tension, but the way Tony looks around the room, and Meadow crossing a busy street (and getting honked at), and on and on. People may think Chase is a bastard for doing it, but that's probably because he was so damn effective.
