Wow, there's a real-life Omar? That's awesome. What a great story. Maybe HBO can make that into a movie.
That's the coolest thing I've read in a long time. Omar & Fran...who would have thought that?
I'm all warm and fuzzy now.
Wait -- the real Omar isn't gay?
I think Omar is actually based on a variety of infamous crooks from the Baltimore area - Andrews being one of them. I believe David Simon mentioned that in an interview. And yeah, Omar is gay and, being self-employed, doesn't have to take any shit for it.
