'Mad Men' season two DVD review - Sepinwall on TV
In today's column, I look briefly at the season two DVD set for "Mad Men." As the warning at the top of the article says, though, if you didn't watch the season and were waiting to watch the DVD, you're not going to want to read, as I discuss a major plot development pretty early.

Only 33 days until season 3, not that I'm counting.
Hate the oversized packaging on this set. Why does the box have to be so large? The exact opposite of the appeal of the zippo for S1.
The packaging this year really is quite plain compared to last year. For such a stylish show it isn't at all conveyed by the cover. However I don't see how they could top the Zippo so perhaps understated was best.
And really, when the contents are great are this great they could wrap it all up in tin foil and I'd be happy!
I was late to the "Mad Men" game, but am a rabid fan now.
Just wondering - which of the first two seasons do most people find superior?
I enjoyed Season 1 quite a bit more than Season 2. No particular reason that I can think of, just found myself more invested with the characters.
Can't wait until Season 3. Just wish Directv would get A&E in HD!
So, I have been anxious to talk to you, Alan about the Season 3 keyart my company made, and the Press Kit that I hope you will receive (truly beautiful despite me being biased having spent many long hours on it). Of course I could not send you the official Sn3 art in advance but it leaked a bit early so here is a link:

Bless you, Anonymous.
All I have to say is OhBoyOBoyOhBoy! Netflix says the discs are arriving tomorrow. I'm such a commentary dork, so I can't wait for that. I found the S1 commentaries sort of hit and miss, but I'm hoping for lots of Janie Bryant, Jon Hamm and John Slattery.
Nice touch with the Menken's tag on the shirt.
