TCA: Craig Ferguson talks 'Late Late Show'
Over at NJ.com, I have some of the highlights of the Craig Ferguson press tour session, which was quite delightful, and far too crowded to be held in a satellite room instead of the main ballroom.

Love Craig. Sometimes more charming than funny, but that's okay for late at night (working for Jimmy, too.)
Great clip. One I could never see the other hosts doing.
I only watch the late-night shows occasionally (and the late-late-night shows even occasionally-ier), but when I do catch Ferguson, I'm always impressed by how much he genuinely seems to be having fun.
I always have been a bigger fan of Conan than Ferguson, so he won out the battle for late night (not that it matters anymore) but I always liked him and thought he did a respectable job. He's definitely better, in my opinion, than Letterman. I also loved his rant about youth being worshiped that you can find on youtube.
If I happen to be up watching television at that time, then I will watch his show. He is usually funny and always witty. When Conan was on in the same timeslot, then I had a hard decision to make. Now, not so much.
Craig Ferguson is a hoot! I love his monologues, thought I don't always catch his show since it's on so late and I have a tendency to fill up my DVR with primetime stuff.
I switched from Conan to Craig years ago. Craig projects honesty in his humor, and as I watch the show, I get the impression he would be just as goofy, insightful, and personable off the stage. He compliments Letterman and would be a worthy successor.
I've been watching more Craig lately just because when I'm up that late I enjoy Craig's intelligent monologues and off the wall goofiness over Jimmy Fallon. His interview very recently with Christiane Amanpour was fascinating -- at least 10 minutes of serious conversation where he actually knew about world events (and that surprised Amanpour). I'm starting to think I need to DVR his show every night and at least run through the monologue....
I watched that video clip, and I couldn't agree more.
That's how I know I'm getting old. (snif!)
I saw that clip when it was originally broadcast. Very funny. Every once in a while he will be serious but always with some humor.
If you have a chance go see him live. Very funny.
Craig is great. I wonder if the fact that all these late-night hosts (at least on the networks) are white guys will come up during the TCA press tour.
Like, will the new Leno show have any more diversity beyond Kevin Eubannks either in front or behind the camera? Very curious.
