It's not a press conference. It's HBO.
First real press tour blog entry is up, with the new heads of HBO talking about "The Sopranos" finale, the futures of "Deadwood" and "John From Cincinnati," and a rough return date for "The Wire."

Did they talk about when the DVDs for season four of The Wire would be available? I'm catching up on all of the seasons this summer and I'm going to be devastated if they don't release season 4 before season 5 starts.
That's great. But all I really wanna know is if the actors on Tell Me You Love Me are really boning.
Carrie, the DVDs didn't come up, but I'm sure that HBO will release it before the new season. That's been almost universally their MO, with the exception of The Wire season one DVD coming out after season two had begun.
Early '08 is just...too late. There was the 2 year gap between season 3 and season 4, and now a 1+ year gap between 4 and 5.
Yeah, that's what people said about the Sopranos too. And yet they all tuned back in once the show came back after almost 2 years.
Yet people still freak out when network shows take one week off.
The "foreseeable future"?
What I got from this, was that HBO will have ended its business with all members of the "troika" within the span of a year. (Which means, no John season 2, and no Deadwood. Even officially they sound reluctant, now.)
A pity.
And of course I'm stupid because I just woke up and because I'm bummed about Milch's works, so naturally I forgot about the Iraq war mini that David Simon has in store for HBO.
Oops.
What about HBO's fourth David, as in Larry David?
We just started catching up with "The Wire" on DVD, so personally I'm happy that we'll have time to make it through everything before the last season starts airing.
