Do blogs have frozen tundra?

I did a Q&A with the guys who run the Green Bay Press-Gazette's TV blog, in which we cover the usual suspects: the strike, "The Wire," "The Sopranos," etc.

What unheralded shows do you recommend people watch in the absence of new programming?

Though not unheralded by any means and since I don't have HBO, I'm three-quarters of the way through season one of Six Feet Under. I think for me, Netflix is going to get a lot of my strike television time.

Nice interview, Alan.

Nice interview, Alan. Reading the shows that you mentioned reminded me of some that I need to watch again.

I just got The Wire Season 1 and am looking forward to watching it. Wish me luck!

I grabbed the Six Feet Under box during one of Amazon's pre-Christmas sales and can't wait to dig in. While it's a shame there won't be new TV for awhile (probably a long while), there's so much out there that I missed, it's not like I'll be forced to watch American Gladiators.

Loved your take on the Sopranos. Great stuff, Alan.

to zac: there's a great line in freaks and geeks about a grateful dead album and how one of the deadheads wishes she'd never listened to it just so she can hear it again for the first time. that's how i feel about hearing you just got the wire season one on dvd. it will change your life.

Only the very best blogs have frozen tundra, Alan. Enjoyed the interview. TV may stink right now, but think about this: how about those of us who have only broadcast TV? No new Wire for us...have to wait for the DVD.
