Programming advisory

Couple of notes to keep in mind about tonight's TV:

• ABC is airing "The Unusuals" tonight at 10 instead of "Cupid" (in addition to another new "Unusuals" tomorrow in its regular timeslot) to see if it does any better after "Dancing with the Stars" than it has after "Lost." The move speaks poorly of "Cupid," which almost certainly won't be back next season, but it suggests ABC is still considering "Unusuals."

• Barring an evening monsoon, I'm going to the Bronx tonight to check out this new Yankee Stadium the young people are writing so much about, which means I won't be getting around to the usual Tuesday shows (plus "The Unusuals") until sometime tomorrow at the earliest. Hopefully, the Yanks play well and I can still afford the train ticket home after I have a couple of hot dogs.

I'm guessing some runs will be scored.

For those needing an immediate Idol fix after the show, I know Alan and I would both recommend checking out Dan Fienberg at http://www.hitfix.com , and you can certainly visit us at http://throwingthings.blogspot.com as well, where our recommendations for the singers for Disco Night are currently posted.

What they need to do is keep moving new shows around? It took me four weeks to remember that Castle is on Mondays. When a show is new it isn't something I'm going to remember right away. Then you move it to another time I'm going to be less likely to remember it.

This is really late in the season too. People aren't as prone to latching on to new shows I'd wager.

They just don't give these shows many chances.

I'm only sorry that I don't really care about Cupid being pre-empted.

Or Cupid being canceled in a few weeks, for that matter.

so does this mean Cupid is already done?

I guess so.

Oh well, since I didn't have any interests in The Unusuals, might as well use that time to catch up on last night's Chuck.

Hey Alan,
Enjoy your night off. I'll be in NYC visiting that stadium in May.

Have you ceased reviewing the Amazing Race? Wondering what you thought about the little tiff that happened on Sunday.

Alan, it may not be TV related, but for what it's worth I'd love to read your thoughts on the new Stadium.

I just needed to vent about Kings being pulled from Saturdays until the summer. Why can't they just finish the run? It's a serialized drama and will have even fewer viewers now that this has happened.
Who needs another L&O rerun?

It's definitely too bad that this was not aired on a cable channel, because it would have been treated much better. Pretty soon all NBC will have is Jay Leno and the Biggest Loser. Idiocracy is becoming more and more prophetic.
